Organizers of the "Wehda Wahda" campaign, of the Ministry of Human Rights and Social Development in cooperation with CSIs, succeeded in attracting twenty thousand voters for a poll on the competition of the most beautifully colored camel within the "Caravan of Goodness" event in block 338, Adliya.
A generous amount of votes, submitted on site and online through the campaign's Facebook page, reflecting the population's, whether citizens or residents, appreciation and encouragement of Bahraini creativity, in its eagerness to stimulate artistic talents in addition to contributing in national initiatives aiming for reconciliation and social unity, a main goal of the "Wehda Wahda" campaign.
Organizers said that among the success of the contest is the letters of appreciation they received and offers to volunteer with them in their national activities and future projects.
A jury consisting of three prominent artists, Ibrahim Bousaad, Balqees Fakhro and Abdullah Yousif, will be selecting one winner, and another winner is to be selected by the voting audiences. Both winners will be honored, in addition to celebrating a group of voters in appreciation for their contribution to the event's success.
Organizers announced that the campaign's next stop for this competition will be in Seef mall, and there will later be an open auction for the sale of the colored figures in a one of a kind event, in order to encourage the community to participate in art projects and initiatives supporting social reunion.
The third phase of the campaign is scheduled to launch soon, the launch of a number of community-based initiatives to include the five governorates of the Kingdom, with the participation of Municipality Councils.
